WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO VISIT? We will find ourselves next to the sculpture of Pedro Menéndez de Avilés. Did you know that this Spanish military man played a fundamental role in North America in the 18th century? We will tell you the details as we start walking around this beautiful Asturian town. During the free tour we will delve into the history and curiosities of this city and we will be able to contemplate its main monuments such as the Niemeyer Center or the church of Sabugo, located in the old fishermen's quarter. Near this temple we will also find the church of Santo Tomás, of neo-gothic style and popularly known as the cathedral of Avilés. The visit will also take us to know the estuary of Aviles. In addition to enjoying its incredible views, we will explain the importance of this area during the Second Industrial Revolution. Of course we will go to the emblematic Plaza de España, from where we can admire the Town Hall and the Ferrera Palace, one of the oldest baroque buildings in Asturias.
