Description
Visit some of the most breathtaking spots in Asturias on this small-group excursion to Covadonga from Santander. You'll travel in comfort in a vehicle for up to 8 people, enjoying a more intimate and personalized experience.
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at the designated point in Santander to begin our journey into the heart of the Picos de Europa mountains.
Our first stop will be the spectacular Lakes of Covadonga. We'll head to Lake Ercina and explore this stunning natural setting until we reach the Entrelagos vantage point, where we can take in magnificent views of the lakes and the surrounding mountains.
We'll then head to the Sanctuary of Covadonga, one of the most iconic places in Asturias. We'll visit the Holy Cave, home to the image of Our Lady of Covadonga, affectionately known as La Santina, as well as the remains of Don Pelayo. We'll learn about the history and significance of this place before heading to the Basilica of Santa María la Real de Covadonga, set in a unique natural environment.
The excursion will then continue to Cangas de Onís, where we'll see its famous Roman bridge. Afterwards, you'll have some free time to explore the town at your own pace, soak up its atmosphere, and have lunch on your own.
Before heading back, we'll visit the historic Chapel of the Holy Cross. Finally, we'll head back to Santander after a day spent discovering some of the most iconic landscapes, landmarks, and stories of Asturias.
