Description
Enjoy the Sella River at your own pace in an experience designed for fun, relaxation, and connecting with nature in one of the most spectacular landscapes in Asturias.
With Aipol Aventura, you'll experience the descent at a leisurely pace, with complete freedom to make stops, swim in the river, rest, or simply let yourself be carried away by the natural surroundings of the Sella.
Your adventure begins at our office in Arriondas, very close to the bus and train station, with the option of free private parking for cars and motorhomes.
Before starting, our instructors will give you a short rowing lesson, explain the safety regulations, and show you how to identify the starting points of the two river routes (8 and 14 km), which you can choose on the spot during the activity at no additional cost.
You can conveniently access the river from the shore or enjoy the famous Sella entry ramp, a fun way to start the experience.
Throughout the tour, you'll have the necessary equipment and the security of participating in an organized activity, but with complete freedom to enjoy it at your own pace.
At the end of the descent, we will take you back to our facilities, where you can use our changing rooms and hot showers to end the experience in comfort.
No previous experience is necessary: it is an activity suitable for beginners, couples, families, and groups of friends who want to experience the Sella in a comfortable, safe, and fun way.
Includes
Equipment: Canoe, paddle, life jacket, waterproof container, and, while stocks last, free wetsuit (except from June 15 to October 1).
Transportation: We pick you up at the end of the descent and take you back to our facilities in Arriondas.
Two routes to choose from as you go (8 and 14 km) for the same price.
Paddle lesson: Before starting the canoe descent of the Sella, our instructors will give you a short paddle lesson and explain the safety measures.
Facilities: More than 600 m2 in the center of Arriondas with changing rooms, showers, and lockers. Next to the La Concordia recreation area and close to the supermarket, bazaar, bank, pharmacy, clinic, and restaurants.
Private parking: If you can't find a space next to our office, you can park your car or motorhome for free in our private parking lot for more than 300 vehicles.
Access to the river via the longest ramp on the Sella (30 meters) or from the shore.
Excludes
Picnic option: Asturian (€5/person), vegetarian (€7/person), and for people with celiac disease (€7/person).
Important Information
- To descend the Sella, we recommend that you bring the following.
• Clothing: Swim suit, comfortable clothes, and shoes that can get wet and are securely strapped to the foot (such as water shoes). Avoid flip-flops so as not to lose them in the river.
- Sun protection: Sunscreen, hat and sunglasses (with a strap).
• Towel and extra clothing for after the activity.
