Description

The tour begins with departure from a designated meeting point, traveling towards the MUJA. Along the route, your guide introduces the Jurassic period and the importance of Asturias in paleontological discoveries, while you observe the regional landscape.

The MUJA building resembles a three-toed dinosaur footprint and is situated above sea level. Inside, the guided visit covers various exhibition rooms featuring dinosaur replicas, genuine fossils, and hands-on displays. The guide explains species from millions of years ago as well as fossil excavation and preservation techniques, offering opportunities to ask questions.

Interactive activities include handling bone replicas and participating in excavation simulations. After the tour, you have free time to visit the museum café, gift shop, children’s play area, and gardens with dinosaur models.

The experience concludes with a 10-minute walk to La Griega Beach to see real dinosaur fossil footprints along a coastal trail with views of the Cantabrian Sea. Afterwards, the group returns to the starting point.
