Meet the guide at the entrance of the Cathedral of San Salvador in Oviedo to begin your 1.5-hour tour of this significant Gothic cathedral.
The tour starts in the central nave, featuring stained glass windows illustrating eight centuries of Asturian history and the 16th-century High Altarpiece, one of Spain’s most important.
Visit the cloister, the crypt of Santa Leocadia, and the Pilgrims' Cemetery—the only place to view the cathedral's apse. Explore the Chapter House, former seat of Asturias’ General Assembly.
Explore the Holy Chamber where key relics like the Holy Shroud, the Cross of the Angels, and other treasures are kept. The cathedral marks the ancient start of the Way of St. James during King Alfonso II’s reign.
