The tour begins at Plaza de Alfonso II El Casto, a historic square where you will see the bronze statue of Ana Ozores, the main character from the novel La Regenta by Leopoldo Alas Clarín.
From there, stroll along Oviedo’s elegant streets to Plaza de la Constitución, the city's largest square. Here, you will view the façade of Oviedo City Hall and the church of San Isidoro El Real, a former Jesuit school.
Next, visit Plaza del Fontán, known for its colorful buildings and lively terrace scene, offering a distinct atmosphere in Oviedo.
Stop at Plaza de la Escandalera to see La Maternidad, a sculpture by Colombian artist Fernando Botero. The square is surrounded by bourgeois-style architecture, including the Campoamor Theater, site of the Princess of Asturias Awards presentations.
The tour concludes back at Plaza de Alfonso II in front of the Cathedral of Oviedo, an important Gothic landmark.
