Description

Relive the history of the siege of Oviedo during the Spanish Civil War on this guided tour of some of the city's most emblematic places. The visit begins at the former Convent of Santa Clara, behind the Campoamor Theater, which was the former headquarters of the Assault Guard. From there, you will visit places such as the Casas de Chorín, the former Civil Government building, and the University. We will also discover the military routes promoted by Franco's government in 1938, while exploring how the inhabitants of Oviedo coped with life in a besieged city, subjected to bombing and rationing.
